Transfer day is always hard because we get so attached to these wonderful missionaries. This one really surprised us because we lost three of the four missionaries in Tobago. Sister Tilby was transferred to Chaguanas, Trinidad and Sister Lapides to San Fernando, Trinidad. I am going to miss these great girls.
Elder Little was transferred to San Fernando, Trinidad as a zone leader. He is doing the Georges' ritual of signing and putting on the goliath tie before he leaves.
It was touch and go with transfer day. Elder Francom called and said he could get the new missionaries to Tobago but couldn't get our current missionaries off the island because of the Easter holiday. We tried to book them on the ferry and that was booked too. It was a tender mercy when we were watching conference and one of our members who works for the government heard our dilemma. She said the government always has seat on the flights and she could get the some tickets. We had to be at the airport at 5:30 a.m., get on stand-by and then her person would get them on a flight. He was supposed to be there at 6:00 a.m. We were pretty worried when it was 6:30 a.m. and the person hadn't arrived. But, he was running late, on trini time, and got them on the 7:10 flight. It was a miracle because there were lots of people waiting because of the Easter holiday. Our new missionaries arrived at 5:00 p.m. That was a long day. Elder Cox is from Alaska.
Sister Graziano from Montana and Sister Norris from Salt Lake.
Elder Evans became our new District leader.
