Rise and shine at 6:00 a.m. and get some exercise.
Some days we walk on the golf course paths.
It is an 18 hole golf course so that covers a lot of territory.
Our other option is to walk along the beach and by the beautiful Magdalena Hotel.
We'd like to share some of the beauty we enjoy along the way.
Elder Goddard is dying to see a crocodile. Haven't seen one yet, but yesterday we talked to the golf course staff and found out the crocs like to lay out in the sun between 1:00-3:00 p.m. I think I know where we will be tomorrow at 1:00!
This may look like an innocent bird, but don't be fooled. I felt we had entered the Hitchcock movie, "The birds". They were screeching and diving at us as we walked. At first it was comical but after a while I was freaked out. Locals told us that is why they carry a stick when they walk. Really?
The told us the beach is self cleaning, whatever that means. It was actually very disappointing when we first saw the beach in this condition. You will notice a few pictures down, that the red seaweed is all gone.
The beautiful Pool at the Hotel Magdalena. The nicest hotel on the island.
The entrance to the Hotel Magdalena.
The street leading to our condo.
